A position has become available for an Occupational Health and Safety OHS Risk Specialist within the Risk and Compliance department.
The Risk and Compliance Department at OUTsurance require an Occupational Health and Safety Risk Specialist to report to the Occupational Health and Safety Officer and resume various OHS related tasks for the company.
This role requires an energetic individual with a real passion for helping people. The candidate should have strong administrative abilities and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Matric qualification / equivalentAt least 2 years- experience in this fieldMust be a OHS RepCertification in the following OHS-
Act subjects will be beneficial : First aid;Firefighting;Evacuation;Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety Legislation or equivalent will be to the candidate-
Complete OHS audit reports;Annual Social and Ethics and Sustainability reporting;Reviewing and updating of Emergency Action Plans.
Risk / Hazard assessments prior to company events;Assist with ongoing injuries on duty reported;Audits on OHS Legislation compliance.
TrainingOHS training session preparation;Induction presentations if and when requiredStay abreast of regulatory changes and assist OHS Officer to communicate such information to all stakeholders.
Other OHS Tasks and projectsThis include but are not limited to : Ad hoc OHS Gap analysesEvacuation drills and assessmentsProviding input into the Business Continuity Plans and reviews thereofCombined assurance activities with other assurance providers.
