A high-profile Client is seeking a personal Interior Designer and Decorator to assist on their high-end residential project based close to Ballito, KZN.

The successful Candidate will be responsible for the complete care for the employer’s home and perform all tasks that correlate to ensuring the needs of the home and occupants are adhered to and maintained accordingly.

The Candidate will be expected to provide high quality and standard in delivery of tasks. The position is for a 1 year fixed term contract, with possibility to be renewed.

Working hours : Mon to Fri 08h00 / 17h00 Sat 08h00 to 14h00. 5 days off per month Qualifications :

  • High school graduate
  • Relevant Interior Design qualification- Essential!
  • Project Management
  • Design software Requirements : Proven experience with contactable references 2 or more years industry related experience Valid driver’s license Responsibilities :
  • Outline client design objectives
  • Conceptualize and sketch design plans
  • Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase
  • Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project
  • Source materials and products included in plans
  • Create mood boards’ to sample your design vision
  • Utilize computer applications in the design process
  • Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met
  • Supervising in-house projects
  • Overseeing of the day to day tasks and operations of the home
  • Managing household bills and administrative duties
  • Running errands and performing necessary tasks
  • Supervision of other household staff, such as housekeepers, private chefs, nannies, maintenance teams
  • Ensure Security at the home is always in working order and that the Security Guards are always alert and doing their job to their best ability
  • Recon expenditure of the house
  • Oversees the general operation of the home
  • Scheduling home maintenance and repair work
  • Responsibilities of planning, organizing and coordinating events
  • Managing household calendars and schedules
  • Arranging appointments, scheduling and supervising home maintenance projects
  • Completing any other requested administrative tasks Understanding of food and beverages Able to understand an instruction and to action accordingly Able to act as a Host when and if requested Be prepared to travel with the employer from time to time and act as House Manager and or Personal Assistant Demonstrate ability to communicate well with high profile clients and guests Personality Traits : Highly creative, imaginative and artistic Flexibility Professional yet approachable Adaptability Ability to multitask Good judgment skills Good management skills Planning and organizing skills Stress tolerance High energy level Efficient and takes initiative Excellent Communication skills Ability to manage a team High level of confidentiality Candidates will be requested to completed a questionnaire with their applications.
