Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist

Position Purpose

The purpose of the Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist position is to conduct data analysis and checks on all reporting provided by the Technology Solutions Department to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.

The Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist will be expected to collect, organise, extrapolate, interpret and report on data for use in decision making.

Major / Key Accountabilities

  • The Key Responsibilities of the Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist include, but are not limited to;
  • Perform data validation procedures / checklist for relevant data sets and reports to ensure accuracy and integrity;
  • Work with Software team to set up participant and point load processes for new or migrating programs;
  • Trouble-shoot data exceptions or inaccuracies;
  • Consult with clients, third parties and internal team on data processing procedures and protocol for assigned programs;
  • Document data processing and data validation procedures for all assigned programs keep documentation updated;
  • Design reporting requirements to be developed by Software team
  • Work with Software team to develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information;
  • Assist with data queries and support Program Success Metrics process and account reviews on assigned programs;
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts
  • Review all internal reporting (compliance, scan accuracy, asset utilisation, etc.) and provide insights into issues / concerns as well as improvement options;
  • Make sure that Master data in the AMS database is up to date and in good health;

  • Basic commercial / business degree or diploma or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge & Experience

  • Skilled with Excel and able to confidently analyse, interpret and deliver data in meaningful ways;
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Experience with variety of other packages i.e. finance, logistics, etc
  • Experience importing data files in a variety of formats
  • Understanding of and discipline to follow rigorous IT data and systems policies
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and achieve objectives and deadlines
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Skills

  • Skills such as communication, creativity, attention-to-detail, organization, and time management are crucial for success in this role.
  • Intimate knowledge of data integrity
