Johannesburg, Gauteng 2191Part-timeNova Pioneer is looking for a superstar Admissions Specialist to play a critical role in enrolling and retaining Nova Pioneer's future leaders and innovators and supporting our families.
We are seeking a driven individual who loves engaging with people and is motivated to take on the challenge of monitoring & improving student retention across our schools.
ABOUT THE ROLE This role will start immediately and run on contract through December 2019, with the possibility of renewal in 2020.
This role could either be full- or part-time depending on the right candidate's needs. Reporting to the Marketing Leader South Africa, the Admissions Specialist will work closely with Admissions, Finance & school teams to : Ensure accurate affordability testing is performed for all new student enrolments entering the network (this includes getting critical data from prospective parents, reviewing past school payment records and managing a credit-
checking process). Work with the school teams to better understand why parents choose to leave our schools (i.e. monitor and reporting on reasons) Develop strategies to see risks of attrition and implement actions to improve retention Ensure a positive experience for parents that do choose to leave our schools, regardless of their reason More specifically, you will be responsible for the following : Affordability Checking for Incoming Enrolments Using a variety of methods available to us, assess incoming enrolments' propensity to pay the Nova Pioneer school fees Report to the Marketing Leader, as well as functional heads, on the rate at which affordability checks are performed Review current process and recommend additions / amendments to improve efficiency and efficacy Understanding network attrition Contact parents who have given notice to leave the Nova Pioneer network to understand reasons for leaving Ensure that EdAdmin details regarding attrition are captured correctly Review reasons captured and work with school teams, as well as functional heads, to suggest initiatives to improve retention.
ABOUT YOU You have work experience in customer experience / satisfaction / engagement, or related experience in a similar school environment.
Experience in a company that gave you significant autonomy and responsibility is a plus! You love engaging with people (in person and over the phone) and are able to build relationships easily.
You are able to manage conflict in a resilient and thoughtful way and achieve positive outcomes. You are a great communicator.
You are able to connect and build report with people quickly. You are able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
You have a good understanding of data and numbers and are comfortable reporting information using Excel and Powerpoint. You strive for excellence and are results-
oriented in every detail of your work and inspire and challenge everyone around you to do the same. You take pleasure in excellence more than credit or status.
You easily adapt to a fast-moving, challenging environment and learn rapidly. You are persistent when faced with adversity.
