Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Content Manager at our Head Office in Midrand. Duties will include sharing & creating strategic content across different channels to raise brand, promotional, category, product & service awareness across the omni-channel.

Content optimisation and brand consistency is key to this role, with the ability to oversee all marketing content initiati Minimum Requirements.

  • Essential : Grade 12 / Matric Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / Certification in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or any related field.
  • 4 6 years’ relevant experience Knowledge of Content Management systems and eCommerce platforms Advantageous : 6 - 10 years’ relevant experience.

    SAP knowledge, Digital Marketing knowledge. Job Specification... Develop a content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing goals.

    Lead & strategize the social media content planning. Manage and motivate the team to produce inspirational content across the digital, social media but not limited to online.

    Collaborate with marketing, suppliers, content providers and design teams to plan and develop site content within the defined categories.

    Research, source, write and edit interesting content to be published on web and social media. Liaise with Dis-Chem Benefits Magazine content writers to ensure the editorials are translated to all other marketing platforms.

    Analyse website traffic, customer insights and user engagement metrics to plan content gaps. Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.

    Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board. Update new and existing content within the Dis-Chem Online Store.

    Source of content from all categories & suppliers including the Dis-Chem magazines. Source of images for content via stock image libraries.

    Work with a cross-departmental team, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties. Brief Google Agency on new campaigns and content within the site provide the Google / Online media Ad copy.

    Work with Digital Graphics designers to ensure that all digital content is accurate and engaging. Competencies Essential : Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

    Basic Adobe Photoshop skills or any other image resizing tool. Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics knowledge.

    English Read, write and speak well. Extreme attention to detail. Exceptional communication, planning and organizational skills.

    Demonstrable creative writing skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team. Ability to multitask projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Good time-management and strong organising skills.
