Kantar TNS South Africa has a vacancy for a new position as Account Director. Reporting to the Senior Team Leader, you will be responsible for advising clients, developing new business, maintaining and growing relationships with designated client accounts, as well as managing and coaching a team of researchers.
You will be part of a team focused on partnering strategically with clients to help them transform their business and grow their brands in the region.
Maintain and nurture client relationships with designated client accounts
Develop new business from existing clients
Manage key account relationships by understanding their needs and providing solutions to key question
Design & deliver high quality research to address client needs
Define proposal structure; ensure the proposal meets client research objectives in the most effective way
Supervise projects within dedicated accounts, including project management, quality, job profitability, costs
Responsible for providing best costs and maximizing profitability
Follow the project communication, between the delivery team and the clients
Provide guidance on analysis techniques and finding the story . Ensure strategic content of conclusions and recommendations, always adding value to research results
Deliver the story and the key understanding of the story for the clients
Deliver the final presentation / reports / deliverables for projects to clients, lead face-to-face presentations
Manage client and internal stakeholders expectations
Manage team motivation and morale. Coach and support team members
Master’s Degree in Market Research, Marketing, Statistics, Business, Economic or Social Sciences
At least 10 years of marketing experience (agency / client) with at least 3 years working experience at a senior management level
Sound knowledge of the research process
Proven track experience in client management & business development
Experienced in line management and in developing team members through coaching and performance management
Strong commercial & business acumen
Ability to deliver strategic insights to drive our clients’ business decisions
Strong Story Telling & Presentation skills
Demonstrable project management skills
Ability to work across sectors & industries
Ability to coach and mentor junior researchers. Ability to inspire and motivate people within research teams.
