One of our clients in the banking sector, based in Johannesburg North is looking for an Information Security Administrator to assist in identifying, defining and maintaining the information security policy and base line standards.

This is a working from home opportunity as the banks have not returned to the offices. Most of our clients are talking about a hybrid working modelIn order to be considered the following is required : Qualifications and Experience : Grade 12BCom Informatics / BSc or CISSP / CISA is an advantageBroad understanding of IT infrastructureProgramming / scripting languages experienceAt least 3 to 4 years in information securityOECP qualified - highly advantageousRed teaming understanding / knowledgeResponsibilities : Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through Information technology solutionsIncrease operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectivenessDeliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members by providing expert advice and consulting on all aspects of IT securitySupport IT Security leaders to participate in the information risk awareness program and to ensure that the staff are aware of information security risksEnsure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees and to ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with Comply, understand and implement all steps for the IT Information Security Processes and Procedures and meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements Assist in identifying, defining and maintaining the information security policy and base line standards for the bank Assist and administer the implementation of control mechanisms, which enables Information Security Services to have a view of the status of information security within the bank Ensure all Information Security analysis and research are captured, recorded and reported on to ensure correct actions are implementation are executedEnsure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees and to ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with the bankManage own development to increase own competenciesMaintain current knowledge of the Information Systems security industry's emerging technologies
