The ideal candidate must be able to co-ordinate all the aspects of leading the sales team and be accountable for its operations and results as well as the mentoring and coaching of staff.

  • Ensuring that regular performance management measures are implemented and under-performers are coached and managed appropriately.
  • Ensuring that all Bench Mark targets are consistently met within every measurement period
  • Ensure that leads are effectively managed and maintained to reach the required conversions
  • Ensuring compliance with :
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Applicable legislation including but not limited to FAIS, FICA
  • Keeping the team motivated and committed to the achieving of set goals
  • Providing on-going, continuous feedback to senior management
  • Providing on-going, continuous guidance to consultant
  • Always promoting a good working relationship with colleagues and working towards and maintaining good working relationships with other departments
  • Always being a role model for staff and an example of how results are achieved
  • Constant monitoring of activity levels and productivity of staff
  • Generating of Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports
  • Effective management of staff-related issues, including Performance Management and Disciplinary procedures
  • Investigation and implementation of new initiatives to enhance the running of the department and the generation of sales
  • Close involvement in the recruitment of staff members
  • Requirements

  • Matric or Higher Qualification in related field
  • Proven track record of leadership skills
  • Sound understanding of sales skills
  • Extremely deadline driven and target orientated
  • Achievement orientated
  • Punctual
  • Thrives under pressure
  • Must be able to cope in a changing and difficult environment and maintain a can-do attitude especially within the team
  • Able to work irregular and extended hours and weekends
  • Computer literate
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to develop consensus within diverse groups
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • 2-3 years experiences as a sales supervisor
  • Outbound call experiences (longterm)
  • Commercial legal background
  • Additional Information

  • Supervisor with cellphone contract experience (Client has launched a new product and need industry experience).
  • This person must have managed a team of 15-20 agents.
  • Minimum 2 years call centre experience (Look at Supervisors in MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, etc).
  • Salary range :

  • Basic R12k R18k, Comm R10k R15k
