Job summary :
The primary objective for this role is to develop business relations with Mobile Networks Operators, in order to build strong sales pipelines, under the scope of promoting AMD Telecom’s SMS, SS7 Firewall solution, SMSc and Roaming services.
The suitable candidate will be a business person who has good understanding and experience of the telecommunications / wireless industries and technologies and has also proven and successful experience in the same role.
Key Responsibilities :
The Regional Account Director will be responsible for new business development across South Africa
Establish relationship with C level people in targeted Mobile Network Operators and set up meetings with decision makers.
Screen business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options;
resolving internal priorities; recommending strategies to secure new business.
Prepare and deliver business presentations. Participate in creating value-driven business cases for senior-level decision makers
Source other markets for existing opportunities
Ensure that the projects being delivered on time and within budget targets whilst all the time ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty are optimized through effective and efficient customer engagement
Recommend product solutions and links to customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage.
Provide competitive analysis of local marketplace and obtain assistance for technical expertise, sales assistance and market development activities.
Schedule and run the company’s projects
Responsible for meeting assigned sales goals and objectives.
Provides high quality and timely advice and reports of progress and forecasts to the European headquarters Director of the company.
Master’s degree in Business
Already established relationship with C Level of Mobile Operators in the area of responsibility.
At least 5 years’s proven experience in Business Development in the Telecom VAS industry.
Demonstrated ability to present and interact with CTO, C’suite / Director level individuals
Able to communicate both on a technical and non-technical level.
Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Good customer handling capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
Possess excellent presentation skills and proficiency at making one on one and group presentations.
Good in understanding business numbers and sharp in analyzing and predicting trends.
Be passionate and able to work in a fast paced environment

Fluency in English, Afrikaans. German, Dutch is preferable. Any other language is a plus
Ability to travel up to 30% of working time
