COME FROM A COMMODITY TRADING OR COMMODITY TRADE FINANCE BACKGROUND
HAVE EXPERIENCE IN IMPORT AND / OR EXPORT LETTERS OF CREDIT(LCs) FECs and Collateral
HAVE EXPERIENCE IN INWARD AND / OR OUTWARD DOCUMENTS FOR COLLECTION
HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF UNIFORM CUSTOMS AND KNOW THE PRACTICE FOR DOCUMENTARY CREDITS
HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE UNIFORM RULES FOR COLLECTIONS (Clean / Documentary)
HAVE EXPERIENCE IN BALANCING OF CLIENT STATEMENTS
UNDERSTAND THE CONTROL OF LOANS TO CLIENTS RELEVANT TO TRADE TRANSACTIONS
BE ABLE TO WORK IN EXCEL Role entails Managing and ensuring supply chain processes are followed daily Monthly forecast demand and supply planning for all Exports contracts Ensuring all invoices are issued timeously and accurately and that all payments are made and received accordingly / Processing all payments and providing supporting documents for all International payments Issuing of LCs with financing banks and ensuring payment is made to suppliers against correct documents Backing up all crucial information and documents onto network Regular review and reporting of contracts to Trading department Commodity planning and forecasting in alignment with Traders procurement and demand from customers Building a working relationship with all major and key customers / suppliers to drive improvement on supply chain activities Negotiation and documentation of LCs Preparing and verifying all information on LC application form to ensure that the required standards of import and export Letters of Credit, Documentary collections and related transactions are adhered to prior to submission for processing.
Ensuring technical correctness of each client instruction including : Confirmation of completeness of client’s instruction Suitable candidates must have the above experience plus the ability to work unsupervised in a small team environment.
