Hello an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Insure, IT (Data Services) area. We are looking to recruit a Data Analyst.

Role Purpose :

Improve profitability by supporting the Hollard Insure IT Strategy through the automation of data acquisition and provisioning, the development of Analytics and Business Information, to support the Hollard Insure Business in their decision making.

Key Responsibilities :

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

Analyze complex result sets to identify trends and patterns

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

Define new data collection and analysis processes

Create dashboards to provide insights and drive behavior

Metadata Management

Key member to the data quality program

Consolidated reporting from multiple disparate systems and data sources

Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements

Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets

Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion

Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analyst if necessary

Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Provide operational support for Management Information Systems

Data Modelling Design & compile conceptual and logical data models

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills :

Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases

Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Ability to produce dashboards to drive remediation

An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving

Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel

Ability to work in an agile and waterfall methodologies

Analytical Skills : Work with large amounts of data : facts, figures, and number crunching

Communication Skills : Present findings or translate the data into an understandable document. Write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas

Critical Thinking : Must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.

Attention to Detail : Data is precise. Vigilant in analysis to come to correct conclusions

Ability to produce solutions using :

Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query)

Microsoft SQL Integration Services

Microsoft SQL Analysis Services

Microsoft SQL Reporting Services

Microsoft Data Quality Services (or any data quality tool)

MS Visio

Educational Requirements :

Bsc Computer Science / Informatics,

Microsoft Business Intelligence certification advantageous
