We are currently recruiting for a Principal BA for our JHB Branch to join our remarkable team.

Directs and manages the full project life cycle, setting standards for assignments and applications. Responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client and providing effective management to teams and giving guidance to others and key business users.

Provides management for the team in reviewing and analysing an organisation’s business, including intentions, services, processes and information needs whilst meeting on-

time and on-budget project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies and directs teams ensuring that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.
  • Proactively aims to achieve personal and team utilisation targets.

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium scale projects with diverse scope.
  • Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required.

  • Proposes and advises on the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools to support value creation. Applies business analysis expertise to present comprehensive, professional and appropriate solutions to clients.
  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements seeking to fully address client needs, identifying, evaluating and recommending options, plus the establishment of a base-
  • line on which delivery of a solution can commence.

  • Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensuring regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use.
  • Collects data, delivers analysis and problem resolution and takes responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to project scope.
  • Analyses relationships between apparently independent problems and issues, and probes and initiates research to identify critical problems.
  • Reviews and cross-reviews reports. Identifies trends and translates analytical reports into management presentations, and provides guidance to resolve issues.

  • Identifies, quantifies and manages issues impacting delivery of business analysis projects. Establishes clear goals and priorities needed to assess performance.
  • Responsible for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
  • Able to apply and monitor the use of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.

  • Meets on-time and on-budget project goals and participates in the identification of and planning for future resource needs.
  • Inputs into proof of concept exercises and assists sales with pre-sales collateral.
  • Conceptualisation and developing domain reusable assets repositories, utilities etc.
  • Develop new processes / frameworks / methodologies and improvements impacting cost, time and quality.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of multiple business areas.
  • Provide insights on defect trends, heat maps, problem / focus areas.
  • Updates practice vertical teams on industry trends and manage competency across business areas.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis
  • Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2, PMP etc.
  • Management qualification or relevant years of experience
  • Skills

  • Must have worked as either a BA or Process Engineer for at least 10 - 15yrs
  • Must have worked in a banking / financial servcies sector
  • Must have lead teams startegically and operationally
  • Must have ability to work and communciate at C-Suite level
  • Must have worked with various tools and applications like Visio, UML etc.
  • An added advantage if exposed to Cucumber / Specflow
