This role is key to engaging CEs, building relationships and influencing CEs to open opportunities with clients, pro-actively seek out New Business opportunities.

Developing relationships with key stakeholders to drive Internal Collaboration by identify new opportunities

for :

New brokers, Automotive, Sponsors, Associations Professional, Trade and Sports, New Schemes Restaurant Franchisees

Personal Lines :

  • Manage existing client base
  • Identify existing clients and conduct desktop analysis and research to understand client profile, industry etc. to identify opportunities for Conversion of opportunities into sales
  • 1. Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company

    2. Resolving key client issues and complaints

    3. Developing a complete understanding of key account needs

    4. Anticipating key account changes and improvements

    5. Managing communications between key clients and internal teams

    6. Managing account team assigned to each client

    7. Strategic planning to improve client results

    8. Negotiating contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance

    9. Establishing and overseeing internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client

    10. Working with design, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team

    members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality

    of materials are being produced and all client needs met

    11. Collaborating with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling

    12. Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with

    team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training

    13. Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines

    14. Analyzing client data to provide customer relationship management

    15. Expanding relationships and bringing in new clients

    16. Cross sell opportunities :

    Ensure all products and services available within business are marketed to the client as

    appropriate

    17. Fostering of sound working relationships with other functional business units.

    18. Familiarity and compliance with all company policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.

    19. Develops routine and effective sales proposals and sales presentations for prospect accounts.

    20. Closes routine sales deals by negotiating values and basic pricing structures to best serve both the

    business and client needs

    21. Helps with conducting thorough due diligence research leveraging various resources and channels

    of information to identify or understand prospect accounts or target sales expansion opportunities.

    Requirements and Qualifications :

    1. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

    2. Goal-oriented, organized team player

    3. Self-motivated and self-directed

    4. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

    5. In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry

    6. Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories

    7. Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions

    8. Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field; Masters degree preferred

    9. Four to five years previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or

    relevant experience

    10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-

    person

    11. Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with

    emphasis on superior Excel skills.

    12. Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts

    13. Ability to multitask and manage more than one client account

    14. Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals

    15. Minimum 5 year appropriate experience in the personal lines sales environment

    16. Relevant formal qualification

    17. Must have RE 5

    18. CPD as per requirement

    19. Must be FAIS compliant as per DOFA

    20. Fluent in Afrikaans and English

    21. Excel, word and power point

    22. Insurance Brokerage experience

    23. Must have a valid drivers licence and a car

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

    8. Relevant Insurance qualification ACII / HCII or Fellowship

    9. Regulatory exam

    10. Proof of credits from INSETA

    11. D.O.F.A (Date of First Appointment) certificate from the FSB

    12. Matric certificate

    13. Mathematical and computer literacy (MS Office, specifically strong Excel and PowerPoint skills)

    14. Minimum 5 years New Business experience in a mid-market Insurance environment

    15. Proven Technical understanding of classes in mid-market insurance environment i.e. Personal

    Lines, Commercial, Specialist and Affinity Insurance Solutions (simple single need solution)

    16. Proven success track record in career history, of success in a New Business position

    17. Own transport and drivers license

    On submission you will be required to send :

    1. Confirmation of Date of First Appointment from the FSB (DOFA)

    2. FSCA Recognised Qualification / Proof of Credits obtained from INSETA
