Large concern seeks Quality Control Manager Qualification

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree
  • Requirements

  • 4 6 years (advantage) quality control experience of which at least 3 years should be in a management role
  • High level leadership and decision-making skills
  • Able to motivate, influence and train people

  • Duties

  • Investigate internal and external complaints and identify the corrective and preventative measures necessary.
  • Initiate, investigate and resolve corrective and preventative measures in specific scenarios.
  • Manage and develop the Quality Control team within the principles of manufacturing excellence to achieve the full potential of individuals to meet the needs of the business
  • Assess quality operations staffing and skills requirements and address needs
  • Always implement and maintain good Health and Safety standards to prevent injury to persons or damage to plant and equipment.
  • Ensures all emergency procedures, first aid facilities, safety signs, relevant PPE and incident reporting is in place and functioning in the relevant area
  • Monitor quality standards of the manufacturing process and products so that defective items are identified, restrained, and reworked where possible.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing and quality systems to establish standards related to activities and products, measuring and correcting performance as required
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies, systems, and processes
  • To support company traceability requirements by accurate maintenance of documentation.
  • Sign off documentation which is to be communicated to customers and relevant parties from the QC department.
  • Conduct / monitor regular calibrations of plant equipment including scales, tanks, thermometers, and lab equipment.
  • To support other departments with quality related problems
  • To provide flexibility and support to cover all areas of the inspection function
  • Use problem solving and reasoning skills to investigate and determine the root cause of quality defects and implements corrective action including re-working of tails
  • Conduct internal QC checks in other departments.
  • Review and create work instructions, forms, and company procedures.
