The Sanlam Personal Finance (SPF) cluster is responsible for Sanlam’s retail business in South Africa. SPF provides clients across different market segments (entry-

What will you do? Output / Core Tasks : Responsible for providing data for daily, weekly and monthly MIS report views on the different MIS System outputs.

Duties include compiling and presenting business and system requirements. Engage with various stakeholders to ensure availability and reliability of the data for reporting.

Support clients with regard to ad-hoc reports, data extractions and queries. Support the Client Interface team in compiling reports, communicate changes and responding to enquiries.

Responsibilities include the initiation, co-ordination and management of changes to the data, as needed, and the quality assurance of the data.

The position is multi-disciplined and taking ownership of assigned tasks and delivering on commitment is key to success in this position.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of tasks and projects within the business and to provide used cases to the Testers and Programmers as required.

The environment is fast paced and strict SLAs are adhered to. Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Engage with and facilitate requirement gathering workshops with the Business owner / Product Houses, Distribution and the MIS Client Interface team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse information needs, functional requirements and business processes
  • Provide used cases to the Testers / Programmers
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and businesses
  • Inform, influence and guide business through your ability to analyse and visualise data
  • Documentation of business requirements and specifications for new developments / changes
  • Coordination of implementation of new developments
  • Investigate and report on queries
  • Ensuring good data quality of data received from all providers
  • Maintenance of standing data What will make you successful in this role? Requirements : Qualifications :
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics
  • Degree (Information Systems / Statistics / Science) would be advantageous Experience and skills :
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience within the financial industry
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, add-ins)
  • Proven competency in advanced Excel / Access
  • Basic knowledge of Query Tools (e.g. Interactive reporting, MS Access, Power Query, Power Pivot, MS Excel, Essbase Add-
