  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE :

  • Perform specialised work involving the procurement, merchandising and distribution of merchandise
  • Product knowledge
  • Plan and inventory control
  • Inform branch managers of stock shortages and advise quantities to be ordered
  • MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE :

  • Provide efficient merchandising support service
  • To formulate merchandising policies and co-ordinate
  • merchandising activities within the BKB Retail Trading

    Division

  • Working closely with the Regional Manager, analyse historic sales to determine quantity of product on the shelf and instore for top-up
  • Meet with suppliers and distributors and negotiate quantities and delivery time-scales
  • Supervise and develop branch employees with regard to management of the store''s appearance and in-stock position through oversight and implementation of merchandise receipt, inventory controls, back-stock maintenance and visual presentation standards
  • Participate in making decisions on store inventory
  • Ensure adherence to loss prevention procedures and
  • Assist store manager with store''s budgeted sales goals and plan product ranges. Assess sales performance of different ranges
  • Managing levels and distribution of stock and handling supply problems as they arise. Stocking and checking quality of merchandise
  • Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies and take responsibility (on an ad-hoc basis) for visual presentation of merchandise, including branch layout and displays
  • supply ordering

  • Manage different tasks that are covered by general operating procedures, but also require extensive individual judgment to complete assigned tasks and meet objectives
  • Responsibilities will vary depending on the branch size and location, the departments, the type of sales, number of employees and the management structure in the Region

  • In conjunction with Regional Manager, manage the branches within time and budget
  • Identify and timeously address functional related problems and opportunities
