Our amazing client, a leader in the Travel and Tourism industry, requires a TEAM LEADER INDIAN MARKET to successfully manage the key account of clients based in Asia and lead the team to operationalise all agent requests seamlessly.
MINIMUM 5 YEARS TOURISM EXP AND FLUENCY IN THE INDIAN LANGUAGE IS ESSENTIAL AN ADVANTAGE WILL BE HAVING WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH TOURPLAN AND MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE : Sales : Effectively cost products Understand the market and margin control Build up and maintain agent / supplier relationships Source new products Develop own business and product strategy to secure additional business from client Work closely with the team to achieve goals Operations : Quote and design successful, creative itineraries and proposals for client Capture and confirm bookings in Tour Plan Negotiate with suppliers for better rates, cancellation policies, FOCs, value adds etc.
Find new suppliers that offer a good / better service and better rates Continuously and proactively monitor clients feedback and improve operational processes Follow up on quotes with client Successfully run groups / FIT bookings Handling the 24hour emergency phone Prepare guide documentation and brief guide before travel date Work closely with tour guides whilst on tour as well as client and onsite staff Product : Liaise with client staff incl.
their Procurement Team Ensure client is up to date with regards to new product, product development, news and changes Proactively source / suggest innovative product to client in liaison with HOP Mainfor Client during brochure production period Support Business Solutions in making Client product bookable within Tour Plan, as well as via xml and API Financial : Reconcile supplier invoices for processing.
Assist debtors clerk with invoicing / collection queries. Reconcile tour guide expense sheets / check guide salary invoices.
Additional responsibilities : Supplier training and workshops. Reduce transaction turnaround time. Excellent communication skills and customer care.
