The Faculty of Science at the University of the Western Cape produces graduates of the

highest calibre. The Faculty Office plays a key role in supporting the academic programme

and providing administrative support to both staff and students.

An opportunity currently exists for candidates to apply for the position of Administrative


The Purpose of this position is to assist with all Faculty administrative procedures, in order to

ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures.

The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, committed, with a keen sense of

attention to detail and a high work ethic.

Duties will include, but not limited to, the administration and execution of the following tasks :

  • Administrative Assistant functions to Faculty - HR
  • Filing and Data capturing
  • Marketing and student recruitment representative
  • General Office Administration
  • Minimum Requirements

  • A matric certificate
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in administrative processes or a 3 year tertiary qualification
  • Filing and data capturing experience
  • Marketing and / or student recruitment experience
  • Customer service / stakeholder interaction experience
