IQbusiness is looking for a qualified individual within the Accounting field that is available immediately to assist us on a short term contract for one of our projects.

The successful Applicant must have Activity Based Costing experience and be willing to travel to Brits everyday for the first 2 months - unfortunately this is non negotiable.

The successful applicant will be accountable for performing various accounting related functions, providing input and delivering best practice solutions to our clients, across financial, telecoms, retail and insurance industries.

Applicants must be natural leaders and team players who can quickly build rapport with a client and have an Agile approach to working.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to : Consolidation, financial and management reporting in accordance with clients policies and external reporting standardsContributing to accounting advisory projects, including complex accounting matters under IFRSProviding specialist IFRS advise and support to external and internal stakeholders and preparation of accounting opinionsEvaluating existing practices, identifying process improvements, and training personnel on a new management operating system to improve business profitability and customer experienceEnsure all financial processes follow IFRS, MFMA, PFMA ,GRAP and Treasury regulations and standardsDevelop and implement business / costing models and identify cost reduction opportunitiesCreating financial models that includes cash flow projections, tax computations with capital allowances and assessed losses, capital budgetsIdentification of Internal Financial Controls, documenting, testing and reporting on findingsExperience in dealing with business rescue and restructure preferredBe able to lead projects and advise executives and develop divisional strategies for clientsAccounting and Financial Administration ?

  • journals, reconciliations, month end and year end processesGovernance, Compliance, Audit and Risk AdministrationStatutory Returns and Reporting - VAT reconciliations;
  • eFiling submissionsShareholder loans - Prepare monthly shareholder loan schedules, calculating interest and distribution of shareholder certificatesCash & Asset AdministrationCollections StrategiesAudit and Fraud experience advantageousManaging of payments processRequirementsRelevant Bachelors?

    Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution - BComm Accounting or Financial ManagementChartered accountant registered with SAICA5 years?
