Main Responsibilities include :
One will conduct both technical and medical assessments related to both Temporary and Permanent Occupational Disability Claims, as well as Death and Retrenchment Benefit Claims should the need arise.
Analyse and synopsise medical reports and other information in the context of claims.
Telephonic interactions with claimants to obtain additional information as and when required.
Interpret and apply the policy document terms and conditions.
Ensure that all criteria are met to pay valid claims and repudiate invalid claims whilst ensuring that proper processes are followed and that claim decisions are of high quality.
Drafting of repudiation letters and responding to complaints.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy
A minimum of 2 years working experience in the Life Insurance Industry as a Claims Assessor with Disability Claim Assessment experience
