A global Animal Health company based in Johannesburg is seeking Customer Service Consultant (Exports) Job purpose : To communicate with customers, dealing with their enquiries, providing advice and updating customers on order status, logistics etc.

Responsible for the workflow from receiving to processing and shipping customer orders and enquiries for both the local and export markets.

  • Key Responsibilities : Manage incoming calls, emails and customer service enquiries Process and follow up on customer enquiries, orders, quotations and delivery requests Update clients and sales people on their order progress Advise customers on correct use of products;
  • those indicated or alternative products and general animal health information Build professional relationships with customers so they can act as the preferred point of contact in partnership with sales rep Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate alternatives and solutions within the time limits, follow up to ensure resolution.

  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication Customer Acquisition Generate new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails Qualify potential prospects Close sales if opportunity presents itself Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate to Sales team for further development and closure Accounts Liaise with finance function regarding overdue accounts Follow up and engage with customers who have had a dormant account for 3 months or more to try and solicit orders or clarify any challenges preventing customers from placing orders Complete credit application forms and re-invoice after finance function has captured these in the system Export Administration Prepare orders for various African countries including but not limited to Botswana;
  • Swaziland; Namibia; Lesotho; Malawi; Kenya; Mauritius; Zambia To assist in ensuring that all picking slips are picked and packed in accordance with their contents Receive and process orders from Export customers Expedite Export orders and liaise with the relevant departments both internally and externally in order to meet customer requests Prepare permit applications in consultation with the state vet Solicit and compile Chamber of Commerce certificates Create and control all Export documentation in accordance with relevant work instruction Complete all required forms as and when required Practice good documentation and record keeping Freight Obtain freight forwarding quotations in accordance with relevant work instructions Ensure Company compliance with the dangerous goods regulations and procedures Work with freight forwarders Stock Prepare packing lists received from warehouse and verify correctness Assist with stock counts and reconciling Fridge line control so as to maintain the cold chain Liaise with procurement on stock requirements General Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act In conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor, work and liaise with export warehouse staff as and when required Requirements : Matric / Grade 12 MS Office (Word, Excel) at an Intermediate level Qualification in Animal Health would be an advantage Qualification in Pastel software would be an advantage Exports qualification / certification would be an advantage Experience : Minimum of 2 years’ experience Customer Services Sales Experience in Exports / Logistics is a MUST - Preference will be given to candidates within the Medical / Pharmaceutical / Animal Health industry
