Durban - A supplier of presentation and signage products is looking for a skilled Key Account Manager to oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients.

You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers as well actively pursue SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Obtaining and exceeding monthly targets
  • Proven experience as key account manager
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Matric mandatory
  • Vehicle mandatory
  • Computer literacy mandatory
  • Passion for technology mandatory
  • BSc / BA in business administration, sales or relevant field beneficial DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationship with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Identify the correct / key personnel to meet with and set appointments
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in timely manner
  • Identify branding opportunities
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play integral part in generating new cells that will turn into long lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecast internal and external stakeholders using key accounts metrics
  • Obtaining and exceeding monthly targets
  • Actively pursue new business and markets
  • Securing appointments and demonstrations accordingly set KPIs
  • Diligently capture and review call logs (capacity reports)
  • Constantly acquire product and solution knowledge to stay abreast of market trends and requirements
  • Identify new products or solutions that could assist in growing sales and customer base
  • Conduct weekly catchup meeting with Division Head to present o Analysis of sales vs targets o Regional sales information o New business opportunities o New product opportunities o Promotional activity o Customer days and demonstrations
  • Leverage the following marketing activities to build pipeline o Trade shows o Events and expos o Customer training o Consumer training o Product demonstrations and presentations o Proof of concept agreements It would be beneficial for the candidate to have experience in the following industries
