Role purpose :

Producing the Vodacom Group’s consolidated financial results in accordance with IFRS, major shareholders’ requirements and JSE requirements for actual and all planning cycles.

Your responsibilities will include :

Assisting subsidiaries during the month-end process

Governing and controlling accurate and timely submission of results within shareholder guidelines

Assisting Investor Relations with statutory reporting for interim and full year results.

Fully responsible for the month-end and financial year-end consolidations in accordance with the financial calendar.

Fully responsible for the forecast, budget and 5 year review consolidations in accordance with the financial calendar

Assisting with the Group’s statutory reporting pack.

Responsible for maintaining the Group’s audit pre-approval register.

Review, present and report financial information accurately and timeously.

Review monthly reconciliations.

Provide support and improve relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

To positively contribute towards improving and developing the implementation of financial policies, procedures and systems of internal controls.

Manage human resources performance planning & development.

Ad hoc projects within the division. A large portion of effort may be placed on ad hoc projects including M&A projects

The ideal candidate for this role will have :

Advanced Excel

Compiling policies and procedures.

Good working knowledge of MS Office

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

A minimum of 8 years Financial experience

A minimum of 5 years in consolidations

Experience in HFM essential

JSE listing requirements

IFRS

Multicurrency, complex consolidations

Consolidation of South African and foreign companies.
