Our client in the EPCM industry is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Centurion, for a 2 year contract for an Electrical Integrity Improvement Programme.
The company relies on electrical gear and electrical safety in every terminal. To manage risks and improve reliability, it is important to ensure that electrical equipment and safety protocols meet company requirements.
Each terminal shall have : Well-maintained electric documents to define where power is distributed on the site and interactions with utilities, generators, and third parties.
well-maintained arc flash study and single line diagram in line with Shell SR.11.13122 Arc Flash Assessment Guide by Shell P&T and programs to reduce and minimize arc flash onsite through reviews, setting modifications, and risk assessed capital projectsrobust maintenance with closure actions complete to ensure key gear is maintained and reliable.
study date,depth of study (arc energies, short circuit calculations, protective co-ordination data, load demand study, and mitigation plans),software used,software model datamitigation plan actions,study review status,study storage location,study drawings produced,maintenance plans of electrical equipment part of the study (such as MCC, switchgear etc.
Work with the company’s Engineering and Operations staff to determine if arc flash labels exist and if the information reported is consistent with arc flash study report.
Verify schedule of coming Arc Flash study maintenance from SAP and ensure the company has an Arc Flash risk reduction plan in place.
Arc flash studies and software data are inventoried in HexagonFor facilities that have no current study, the Electrical Engineer shall prepare a proposal for closing the gap for the company’s approval.
