set are required. This organisation is over 10 years old and has a well-established track record. Responsibilities : Understanding product strategy, new opportunities, areas for improvement and client needs alongside the business architect and relevant business areas.
Collating change requests, project work, strategic initiatives and maintenance items in a central backlog that is prioritised together with key stakeholders.
Managing the product backlog, including : Clearly expressing product backlog items. Ordering the items in the product backlog to best achieve goals and missions.
Optimising the value of the work that the development team performs. Ensuring that the product backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum team will work on next.
Ensuring the development team understands items in the product backlog to the level needed. Ensuring that the upcoming sprint backlog items are prioritised and defined to an appropriate level of detail and completeness to enable development work to commence.
Sharing goals, scope and product domain with team members. Preventing changes from impacting sprint goals and reviewing scope when new items need to be added.
Assisting with production support items by resolving where possible or prioritising within the team against the other sprint scope.
Providing demos of new and existing functionality to clients, key stakeholders and users. Skills and Experience : Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Certified Product Owner advantageous. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and organise self and team tasks in order to achieve objectives and targets.
Decisive and must be able to use initiative to make quick decisions to resolve problems and overcome obstacles delaying delivery.
Experience partnering with other departments to achieve targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to non-
technical and technical audience members. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent leadership skills.
Excellent client service orientation. Analytical, results driven, responsible, high stress tolerance, process driven, attention to detail, and conflict management skills.
