PURPOSE :

  • To ensure that Non-Standard Labour (Service Contractors / Providers and Labour Broker Employees), complete work according to Contracts, Scopes of Work or Service Level Agreements.
  • To control and coordinate Line activities according to planned schedule.
  • To quality assure that work is done to specification and completed as agreed. MAJOR CHALLENGES :
  • Coordination of activities at various sites
  • On time availability of planned resources material and manpower
  • Coordination and control of adherence to scheduled sequence of activities
  • Communication between involved parties
  • Manage end to end processes for Non-Standard Labour. POSITION OUTPUTS : The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following : Administration and Document Control
  • Responsible for Non-Standard Labour (NSL) lifecycle from on boarding to exiting
  • Map processes and quality assure
  • Maintain source documents and requests for services from users
  • Monitor flow of work through various phases of prep and computer execution
  • Maintain records of standard job tasks / procedures to adequately monitor work flow
  • Maintain daily work schedule, inform stakeholders of deviation
  • Maintain contractual records / docs such as project status reports and contractor safety files Contract Management
  • Responsible for end to end optimisation of NSL application processes (on boarding, induction, medicals, training, excess control, exiting)
  • Assist to specify project objectives / scope and plans including delineation of scope / budgeting / scheduling / setting performance requirements
  • Act as middleman between Company line management and service suppliers
  • Serve as point of contact for role players on contractual execution of activities
  • Ensure signed contract SLA are communicated to relevant parties Customer and Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain relationships with internal / external customers
  • Facilitating compliance of NSL to meet SLA requirement
  • Provide relevant support and advice to role-players and end users to ensure compliance to legislative requirements
  • Attend to customer requests / complaints according to Contract Specifications / Service level commitment and conduct regular follow-
  • ups to ensure problems resolved Effective People Management

  • Promote teamwork, provide support and manage performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans for subordinates
  • Oversee recruitment and Human Resources (HR) related activities of reporting staff
  • Manage direct subordinates' performance and development to ensure good performance delivery retention and talent development
  • Support subordinates to prioritise workload and monitor availability of tools and resources required Functional Excellence
  • Develop and maintain functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end-to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
  • and enforce group-wide adherence to these

  • Standardise, simplify and speed-up functional processes and eliminate duplication / bureaucracy
  • Develop and apply functional best practices and promote sharing of best practices / knowledge
  • Identify and manage critical functional risks through appropriate mitigation plans and actions Process Management
  • Plan, develop and implement NSL process and procedures aligned with operational scope and legislative requirements
  • Proactive risk identification and management of preventative measures
  • Optimisation of NSL lifecycle to ensure effective and efficient cost application and control Process Optimisation
  • Process owner for optimisation of NSL
  • Monitor project compliance to deliverables and invoicing
  • Oversee SLA compliance
  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal
  • Maximize resource efficiency through procurement of labour, materials and equipment
  • Ensure construction quality
  • Ensure Engineering change management Codes of Practice (COP’s) are adhered to when implementing any changes to civil structures, equipment or processes
  • Oversee interface with access control, Safety, HR labour processes and end user expectations Safe and Healthy Work Environment
  • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
  • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
  • Ensures NSL are effectively and sufficiently and trained in site / s requirements of operation / s Behavioural Alignment Demonstrates the following :
