A leading JSE-listed packaging manufacturing company requires the above to be responsible for all activities relating to payroll and human resources.

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • A tertiary qualification in human resources or payroll functions would be advantageous.
  • Must have 5-years’ proven experience in a similar role.
  • Must be driven towards improvement and the use of technology functions.
  • Advanced VIP Premier working knowledge is essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills is essential.
  • Must be willing to travel out of town when required to do so.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Paying the weekly and monthly wages and salaries for the group including all 3rd party payments.
  • Compiling the weekly and monthly report on human resources and payroll statistics to senior management.
  • Managing human resources company policies and reporting to management accordingly.
  • Serving on the training and equity committee.
  • Liaising with medical and pension fund administrators regarding updated employee information.
  • Clearing payroll reconciliations.
  • Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
