Purpose of the Role
To support the Communications & PR Leader on the delivery of digital communication, to raise awareness of The Unlimited Group’s business and offerings focusing on building Trust and Credibility.
Commitment to support The Unlimited goal of 10% Positive Sentiment overall across all platforms including PR / Media relationships, whilst positioning The Unlimited as a thought-leader, authority and expert in all areas of our business, industries and overall trends in our Country.
For areas such as TheUnlimited.co.za, new content for media, influencers and digital audiences including owned social media platforms.
Work closely with our PR Partner Agency, as well as members of the wider communications team to deliver highly strategic communications campaigns that demonstrate The Unlimited Truth Response, Thought-Leadership position in the digital media as well as effectively communicating new services and product developments to audiences, employees and media.
Support the PR & Communications Lead on identifying and delivering relevant materials for media engagement, speaker opportunities for stakeholders at key events, compile media briefings, pitch interview ideas and execute press engagements with our PR Partner Agency.
Responsible for delivering ongoing digital engagement campaigns, using social media platforms, blogs, including All About The Unlimited Hub & Naked Truth and other relevant platforms to deliver buzz and engagement as well as manage issues.
Responsible for identifying newsworthy stories for The Unlimited and other proactive media opportunities with our PR Partner Agency.
Support the management of the external facing The Unlimited website, social communities.
Share insights on new and relevant social media platforms with the wider communications team, offer council on how best to use social media platforms within communications campaigns and support the Communications team on uploading releases, blogs and appointments to UZone, The Unlimited Hub & Naked Truth pages.
Support creation and tracking of multimedia content for use in digital communication including the social, website, media content, internal comms content, key public holiday messages and on and ad-hoc basis for other key campaigns throughout the year.
Knowledge, Experience & Skill :
Minimum of 6 years relevant experience
Knowledge of the local and international PR landscape
Knowledge of SA blogging industry
Knowledge of SA micro influencer industry
Understanding digital metrics and dimensions which effect PR
Demonstrate ability of previous work in the PR space
Essential that the successful candidate has web content, Photoshop PowerPoint, Excel, Social Community Management,
A good standard of editing, as well as a solid understanding of the latest web platforms and technologies (including social media platforms and monitoring systems and tools).
Digital expertise in communications, solid writing skills and creative flare.
