OVERALL PURPOSE

We are looking for a dynamic Technical Operations Manager to lead and mentor the technical operations department of Lula to support world class software products in a fast-paced cutting edge environment.

You will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and scaling our production services and servers. You will contribute to the architecture to improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.

Writing of automation code for provisioning and operating this infrastructure at massive scale would be a massive advantage.

You must ensure the health of our production environment and drive SLA's. You will drive and implement best practice and processes to enable better automation, implement tools and systems knowledge across TechOps engineers, Technical Support staff, DevOps Engineers and Application Support Engineers.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Accountable for the operational support of the platform including
  • Technical Operations
  • Application / Platform Support
  • Infrastructure Support
  • Monitoring, proactive response and drive SLA's
  • Be the key advisor on system and processes and liaise with Product Owners and Senior Management
  • Work with the business to understand and implement complex requirements
  • Work in an Agile environment, assisting in the move towards continuous deployment
  • Keeping a constant eye on changing industry ideas and practices, and monitoring emerging technologies
  • Work with geographically distributed teams
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute towards Lula Technologies
  • Understand (and improve) our processes and systems

  • THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A degree or similar qualification (preferred)
  • 8+ years' experience in technical operations
  • Strong knowledge of SRE, DevOps, TechOps and Support principles
  • A strong background in operation management
  • The ability to dig into business requirements, have a proactive attitude, sense of ownership and precise analytical skills
  • Be able to work under pressure and against tight deadlines and will need to be pragmatic but intelligent design decisions
  • Can work closely with business stakeholders to figure out requirements and translate them to technical solutions
  • Core Skills : Azure Architecture, PowerShell, Networking , Messaging, SOA, Agile Methodologies, Distributed Source control, Continuous Integration, SQL Server, Application Insights
