About the Role : The Engineering Team at Airlift Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer (Android) who will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the core android applications (both internal and external) that will go on to impact millions of lives.

The ideal candidate should also be a team player and should love to mentor and guide the junior developers in the team. They should also be able to excel at working in an extremely fast, highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.

The candidate should always be on a lookout for the best solution for any given problem any time of the day. The problem-solving skills should be exceptional with this candidate! While this role is part of the retail operations function, prior experience in this domain is not required - we would love to connect with tech-wizards who would be excited to be part of the consumer-product landscape.

As a Software Engineer (Android), you must possess : 4+ years of prior experience with building highly scalable and robust Android Applications,Experience in developing android applications with Java and Kotlin,In-depth knowledge of Android development, with a deep understanding of Android core frameworks and design patterns,The ability to own the development and deadlines of getting features to production,The ability to think in terms of reusable processes, library and framework creations,The knowhow of building processes that help produce reliable and consistent outcomes,The adaptability to work in cross-functional environment with remote teams and demonstrate problem-solving skills,Strong leadership skills and must be able to lead a team of engineers in a highly collaborative way,Proactive, long-term effort for review of code and designs to identify and resolve complex, meaningful problems for Airlift’s Android application in line with Airlift’s mission and strategy,Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and explain complex concepts to technology and business teams.
