A leading Bank in JHB-CBD is urgently looking for a Project Manager to successfully plan, direct, coordinate and communicate the activities of a project, and ensure successfully delivery of projects within scope and budget, whilst making sure the project is on schedule and is of acceptable quality.
In order to be considered the following is required :
Project Management technical training essential
Certification of PMBOK or Prince II would be an advantage
At least 5 years Project Management experience in IT environments and business environments
3 - 4 year degree preferred (engineering, business or project management)
Experience in the banking or financial services environment would be an advantage
Computer literate (MS Office, MS Project and Visio process mapping)
Establish, align and manage target and budget goals for the business unit, whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency through projects
Manage the project budget and related costs for all assigned projects
Manage contracts and invoicing with external companies that are involved in assigned projects
Develop a project service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service
Enable service delivery through implementing systems and processes to improve service with the most effective projects and implement quality systems and metrics for measuring project success
Risk and Issue management resource conflict resolution, scope change management
Manage and maintain internal and external client relationships
Manage client service quality standards and the delivery thereof
Communication of project progress to all stakeholders
Set and manage client expectations wrt project delivery, timelines, resources, scope and costs.
Articulate, negotiate and communicate consensus with stakeholders on the project definition, scope and other project decisions.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, to the extent that the key project work streams being technology delivery and solution delivery attain these objectives by producing project plans plan, manage, drive and facilitate the delivery through various work streams of the project through the work stream leaders.
Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
Develop and implement business projects for process enhancements and new processes and products within a business unit
Implement process metrics for measuring efficiency of all key business processes
Scope change management and change control project administration and document management
Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data of all projects
Run complex projects / programs from design and development to production
Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment
Plan and schedule project deliverable, goals and milestones
Identify and manager project dependencies and critical path
Identify business requirements for a project and successfully convert these into resource requirements
Track and proactively manage issues, risks, changes and decisions relating to projects
Manage project activities to ensure optimum use of time and resources
Ensure project compliance to tools, methodologies, process and templates as governed by the project office
Change management of project changes including scope, resources and business requirements
Design and maintain technical and project documentation
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Direct and drive training and change management.
