As a Used Car Sales Manager you will be committed to achieving excellence in everything you do and have the ability to inspire the same from your team.

This role will see you leading and developing a team of used cars sales professionals to achieve sustained success through coaching and identifying of training opportunities, planning of daily operations and monitoring of team performance.

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will play a hands on role in training and mentoring your staff, while supporting them in closing used car sales and generating new business.

Through supporting the used cars sales team you will maximise the numbers of used cars sold, while ensuring that your customers are delighted with the service they receive.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Monitoring and reporting on individual and team used car sales performance
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction targets are being exceeded
  • Taking a hands on approach in supporting used car sales executives to meet their targets
  • Carrying out market and competitor analyses, setting target parameters (e. g. for pricing) and ensure these are implemented
  • Engaging in active marketing and stock management
  • Identifying training and development needs and opportunities for your staff
  • Working closely with the used car sales team to ensure the dealership meets its used car sales target

    You will be a problem solver with a passion for leading and developing your staff. Ideally you will have previous leadership experience within an automotive used car sales environment, and a track record of exceeding your used car sales and service targets.

    Specific Skills required :

  • Due to the challenging nature of the role prior leadership experience in the automotive sector is essential
  • Many years of experience in automobile sales, ideally in the field of used cars and in a management position
  • Talented communicator and motivator with natural authority, a confident manner and a highly performance-oriented approach
  • Ability to develop strategies and targets, keeping the big picture in mind when dealing with complex demands and can structure and organize effectively
  • Proven track record of leading a team to exceed used car sales targets
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing staff
  • Ability to evolve and adapt with changing business needs
  • Possession of a valid driving licence
