RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established organisation in the INKS & PACKAGING industry to recruit A PRODUCTION OPERATOR/MILLHAND to be based at their offices in Midrand. Up to R8 000 – R10 500ctc.   OUR CLIENT IS A LEADING MANUFACTURER, DISTRIBUTOR AND SUPPLIER OF SPECIALISED INKS, COATINGS AND ADHESIVE THROUGHOUT SOUTH AFRICA.   The successful candidate will be working in cooperation with the production team and should also be able to work on their own, be detail orientated, have a positive attitude and be driven to learn and grow.   The ideal candidate should have/be the following:   • Matric (or equivalent – not a deal breaker) • Certificate of Competency to operate a counter-balanced lift truck (Current) • 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment • Physically fit (ability to lift 25kg’s) • Colour Test Passed • Ability to correctly use a Grind Gauge (Not a deal breaker – can be taught) • Ability to correctly operate the 3-roll mill & mixers (Preferable) • Reside in Midrand area     Key responsibilities, but not limited to:   • Colour matching for customer requirements (This can be learned provided a colour blindness test is passed at interview stage) • Mixing, milling and issuing ink, varnish, chemicals and other consumable items • Receive stock, stock counts and picking stock • Operating a Forklift • Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for stock and manufacturing • Maintain general warehouse cleanliness, orderliness and supplies   Remuneration:   R8 000 - R10 500, depending on experience   If you are not contacted within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
