This role is key Technical Manager at East London studio providing support to the design teams across all studios where they are appointed under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
This is an important role ensuring compliance with their statutory duties. A part of the role will be ensuring compliance with their quality management (QM) processes.
Reporting to the Director in charge of QM you will be responsible for a range of tasks such as health and safety and quality management inductions, risk assessments and collating evidence for CHAS accreditation.
You will also be responsible for various CDM / Heath and Safety tasks such as assisting with drafting of appointment documents, overseeing the risk management log and maintaining health and safety records as necessary.
In addition, you will look after the quality management system, drafting new and revised methods and templates and formatting new documents and arranging internal audits with relevant staff.
Software and Knowledge
You should be a construction professional and an architectural background would be preferred. If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to take the APS exam and gain entry to the Register of Members CDM 2015 RMaPS2015.
You should have a broad understanding and knowledge of construction health and safety issues and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Experience of construction and the construction industry would be highly beneficial and you should have an understanding of the architectural design and the design process.
