Sanlam Private Wealth is part of the Sanlam Investments Group, a leading investment and wealth management business in South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia and Europe.


The primary focus of this role is to provide in-depth, original analysis of JSE stocks to the director of investments and SPW’s portfolio managers, to facilitate investment decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Focused industry research and analysis
  • Fundamental research of leading publicly listed companies with a view to producing and maintaining a comprehensive investment case
  • Communication of findings and recommendations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Qualification and experience

  • Honours degree (B.Sc, B.Com, B.Bus.Sc or similar)
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (CA, CFA, MBA)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience
  • Exposure in the private client industry helpful
  • Strong track record of performance and delivery;
  • Advanced financial modelling and Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel, Power Point helpful
  • Knowledge and skills

  • Working knowledge of key commercial statues such as Tax, Companies Act and Regulation 28
  • Ability to use terminal services such as Bloomberg and Inet
  • Excellent understanding of investment markets and the economy
  • Strong networking ability
