Description Position : Finance Officer COUNT is a registered NPO and PBO with more than 30 years’ experience in mathematics education.

COUNT is looking for a self-motivated person with great people skills and exceptional attention to detail to join the organisation as finance officer.

Finance Officer Roles and Responsibilities : Consolidate budgets for funding applications Produce monthly and annual organisation budget Produce specific funders budget progress reports Develop and reinforce internal financial management and accountability systems such as Advance, claims and reimbursement process Travel / booking payment requests and processing system Procurement budget, payment and claims Process internal and external payments once a week Manage the payroll once a month Maintenance of good filing system to ensure all financial records are available - payroll,suppliers, monthly reports Liaison with auditors, SARS, and other external stakeholders and finance compliance structures Detect wastage and optimise organisational spending Track spending against available funds and advise the CEO and programmes manager on a quarterly basis Produce 3-5 year financial projections for the organisation Processing of NGO’s monthly transactions to produce monthly financial reports / management accounts and supporting reconciliations (bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules) Monthly maintenance of fixed asset registers and update of purchases to insurers Supplier administration and management including a) receipt of all supplier invoices and statements b) preparation of supplier reconciliations in time for weekly payments Responsible for bank administration and bank related queries Petty cash administration and filing Monthly cash flow planning with reference to NGO’s monthly commitments and suppliers to ensure these are met Other ad hoc finance admin requests and reports as and maybe required Requirements : High maths / numbers aptitude Track record of ethical conduct Excellent written communication skills Strong problem solving and planning skills Strong analytical skill and attention to detail Strong team-player work ethic Ability to engage with all levels of the organization Accounting / Finance Degree + 3 years’ work experience OR Accounting Diploma + Minimum 5 years working experience Interested candidates can send their CV
