Requirements :

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
  • Degree in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive roles
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role with exposure to BBBEE
  • Metal Industry Experience (MEIBC)
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Responsibilities, but not limited to :

  • Managing the Employee Life Cycle from application to exit interview
  • Managing and conducting an efficient Recruitment Process
  • Employee Engagement practices including team building and social development initiatives Performance Management and Appraisal system in line with the organisational strategic objectives that drives high performance
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets;
  • monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

  • Training and Development responsible for the annual Training Plan and identifying training needs in conjunction with Line Management, including WSP / ATR submissions
  • Employee Relationship Management including dealing with staffing requirements, disputes, grievances and administering and advising on disciplinary processes and procedures
  • HR Policy Management i.e. development, maintenance and revision of policies, procedures and systems based on applicable labour laws and environment
  • Annual statutory reports submissions namely; Skills Development (ATR), EE / AA, BEE, RMA etc.
  • Job Grading And Job Task Management HR Project Implementations identifying and rolling out HR initiatives
  • Payroll oversight and monitoring of statutory compliance
  • Employment Equity implementation and aligning with EE Plan and objectives
  • BBBEE oversight of and implementation of initiatives, specifically Skills Development Keep abreast of statutory and legislative requirements and employment law
  • Overseeing health & safety procedures and compliance
