ROLE DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

AfricaWorks' purpose is to unlock Africa's potential through work.

AfricaWorks' mission is to strengthen Africa's business infrastructure by creating a growth ecosystem on the Continent. The Company started its journey in 2019 by launching coworking spaces under the AfricaWorks Spaces brand.

It now operates 15 AfricaWorks across 8 cities on the Continent with entreprises members like L'Oreal, Universal Music, Glovo, Paystack, MFS Africa etc.

AfricaWorks is on track to reach its goal of having 100 AfricaWorks spaces by 2025.

As part of its vision of strengthening Africa's business infrastructure, AfricaWorks is working on launching a new business venture - AfricaWorks Services - to complement its ecosystem approach.

AfricaWorks Services is a B2B marketplace of business services to help companies (e.g. MNCs, SMEs, Start Ups) grow their business on the Continent through 4 business verticals : - Admin & Compliance, Talent, Finance as well as Legal

Your role as AfricaWorks Services Lead will be to launch this new business unit and grow it to become a substantial contributor to AfricaWorks value proposition.

As such, you will be in charge of :

  • Define the exact scope of the Service Offering
  • Identify, Contact, Pitch, Vet, Sign & Onboard new Vendors on the AfricaWorks Services platform
  • Work with the Tech team to build the AfricaWorks Services platform
  • Launch the AfricaWorks Services platform
  • Build the Team
  • Ensure uptake and client satisfaction
  • Manage P&L
  • Meet Targets

  • Strong Communications & Problem solving skills
  • BsC or MsC in Business from a leading international university
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in management consulting (e.g. McK, BCG, Bain ..) as well as in a fast growing start up
  • Great Commercial & Business Development skills
  • Excellent Marketing & Communication Skills
  • Outstanding Project Management skills
  • English is a must. French is a strong plus.
