Responsibilities Taking direct responsibility for the distribution channel growth.These channels include : o Formal retailers, independent and small chains, national and regional chains, franchises and aggregators.
o Relevant API integrated formal channel customers including where POS integration is required.o Sourcing, negotiating, and signing up new customers and channel partners using a targeted market approach.
These will typically include : o Public sector municipalities,o Private Sector Corporates,o Private Utilities,o Collectors like Retailers and Banks etc.
Identifying, negotiating, and concluding relevant POS integration partnerships to facilitate delivery of services as per retailer requirements.
Identifying, scoping, and facilitating technology development or upgrade requirements to adequately support the current and future of the companys customer.
Building volumes through channel partners above budget targetsManage and support of Sales staff regionally across the countryIncluding developing sales targets for each region and their staffManaging KPIs quarterlyManaging performanceUndertaking ongoing performance reviewsGeneral Customer Relationship ManagementDetailed guidance and leadership of sales channel and teams, in conjunction with each Sales Manager, which includes : Sourcing & Developing specialist sales teams per region, in line with strategy.
Managing own Central Administrative team.Co-ordinating customer support & retention activitiesLiaison & co-ordination with Marketing department to ensure in-store marketing and promotional activities aligned with sales objectives and channel strategy.
Developing a broader Marketing strategy targeting the end consumer awarenessOverall responsibility for leading and managing national office team (as developed) and office administration.
Ongoing competitor analysis.Leadership & Development : Leading a small but very strategic core sales team to build culture and align initiatives and targets to company strategy and budget objectives.
Identifying and recruiting correctly skilled and driven staff to fulfil the sales and administrative team requirements as and when required.
These will change from time to time to align with company growth strategy.Lead and foster business partnerships with independent players critical to delivery through this channel.
POS providers and API integration to their platforms will be a critical success factor.Be prepared to share good and bad news as required.
Sales & Marketing : Develop and grow the company revenue channel to meet and exceed the annual budget targets.Support each region to build a specialist sales team, when appropriate to the growth strategy.
This will involve working with your director to define the role, source and deploy candidates.Closely monitor sales performance to ensure optimal sales activitiesLiaise with the Marketing department to develop appropriate marketing collateralEnsure the company brand is fostered and grown through staff and partnership alignmentEnsure company brand is visible in stores and use marketing opportunities to grow the brand.
Customer Retention : Ensure there is a customer retention strategyMonitor Regional sales performance to ensure awareness of changesFoster relationships with key customers to ensure customer retentionMaintain open communication with top clients to grow existing revenueWork closely with the Operations department and Regional Managers to ensure accurate customer segment support at central Call Centre and field support in each region, as relevant.
Budgeting and Expenditure Management and AdministrationAssume responsibility for and ensure : Overall control of sales team costs to budget, including agreeing and managing relevant team incentive programmes with your director.
Ensure the sales administrative team is optimally structured and resourced to fulfil all designated administrative tasks and roles as outlined elsewhere in this document.
Reporting : Ensure weekly and monthly reporting to your Director and other senior management as required.Develop key weekly reporting and management cycles with sales teams.
