We are excited to be expanding our Finance team and looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join us in Cape Town!

This opportunity is a full-time permanent position within a global team. We offer the flexibility of hybrid working with access to our waterfront office and as well as the opportunity to work remotely.

You will report directly into the Head of Finance with the key responsibility being the reporting and forecasting of cash and optimisation of working capital for our Yachts Division.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for :

  • Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast for Yacht Sales and Yacht Charter
  • Review and input into weekly cash forecast
  • Review and forecast of supplier payments in conjunction with Head of Finance Processing
  • Monitoring and reporting of Trade Payable Days by location and providing a challenge to supplier relationship owners
  • Monitoring and reporting of overdue Charter receipts and refunds by location
  • Forecast Charter receipts
  • Continuous review of all elements of working capital to ensure optimisation of cash
  • Forecast of all other working capital movements (including pre-payments, debtors, other creditors etc.)
  • Monthly bank reconciliation control meetings with Treasury Team Lead
  • Ownership of Insurance costs and premiums feeding into cash flows and claims
  • What we are looking for

    The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or Completed Articles) with experience in weekly and monthly cash flow reporting.

    You will have advanced modelling and Excel skills with the ability to process and summarise a large amount of data.

    The right candidate will have experience in proactively optimising net working capital and have the ability to challenge and influence at senior levels.

    You will be an effective communicator, able to work independently. Prior experience working within the travel or marine industry would be beneficial but not essential.
