Summary : Our client is seeking a Financial Director who will provide comprehensive financial support to the Business, which will enable the Executive Committee to monitor and control the performance of the division.

The successful incumbent will play a pivotal roll in maximising the division’s profitability and performance through effective control, tactical financial planning, policy interpretation, asset management and the pro-active identification and investigation of opportunities to increase financial returns.

Minimum Qualifications required :

  • CA (SA), with C.I.M.A an advantage;
  • Experience required :

  • At least 10 years in Financial Management and having gained significant cost accounting experience;
  • Proficiency & knowledge of SAP is a distinct advantage;
  • Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint etc).
  • Experience in leading profit improvement initiatives and providing impact analysis;
  • Experience in co-ordinating monthly & quarterly management reporting of the division’s results;
  • Experience in annual reporting as well as budgeting and strategic planning;
  • Experience in managing and co-ordinating of IT systems, business and audit processes, budgeting and strategic planning;
  • Experience in management of the service level with Group Procurement and Shared Services;
  • Experience in Tax and regulatory compliance;
  • Experience in controlling credit, insurance, and other financial risks;
  • Experience in liaison with line management and head office;
  • Experience in engaging with strategic suppliers on commercial issues;
  • Experience in managing and developing Finance teams.
  • Skills required :

  • Knowledge of key business processes including HR, Production, Sales and Logistics is advantageous;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with internal and external parties across all levels.
