Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily picking and ensure required productivity levels are maintained, and orders due are dispatched as per the back order.
  • Resolve report and record any picking, system, staff, dispatching, credits etc. errors and problems immediately.
  • Maintain the site, warehouse, work areas, vehicles, and equipment in a clean, orderly and presentable condition at all times.
  • Manage the use of all company forklifts and vehicles to ensure they are serviced; records are kept and are properly maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all stock received are properly received, recorded, GRVed and packed away within 48 hours of arrival.
  • All stock to be managed on a FIFO basis.
  • Ensure all purchasing are properly planned and executed to maintain optimum stock levels at all times.
  • Ensure all credits are properly investigated, recorded, reconciled, and accounted for.
  • Assist with all company project as required from time to time.
  • Manage all processes, staff, deliveries, logistics at all times to obtain maximum productivity.
  • Ensure proper preparation, and regular and accurate stock takes, and cycle counts are done.
  • Plan delivery routes and ensure trip sheets are done and accounted for.
  • Communicate as required with internal and external customers any information as required on any aspect of the business.
  • Be customer service orientated at all times.
  • Ensure full compliance at all times with all Food Safety systems, health and safety regulations, ETQM and company policies.
  • You may be required to perform other duties as operationally required from time to time.

  • Deliveries on time in full sustained at >
  • Stock write offs
  • Ongoing reduction of customer complaints.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum matric / grade 12.
  • Any qualification in Operations / Production or Logistics that is relevant.
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
  • Own transport.
  • Previous management / supervisor skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Any ERP system experience will be highly recommended.
  • Knowledge of Food safety or Health and Safety compliances.
  • Knowledge managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and disciplinary.
