Role PurposeWorking as part of our global Support & Reliability Engineering team, your primary responsibilities will be to monitor Iress networks and provide 1st level support for LAN / WAN data communications problems.

Youll work closely with a variety of other internal teams on both BAU and project work, ensuring network performance, capacity and trends are monitored.

This role is a great opportunity for anyone who has theoretical knowledge looking to gain more practical experience.Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on.

  • Provide 1st line network support which includes but is not limited to support ticket handling of network related problems and queries.
  • Network troubleshooting and perform real-time network monitoring of the IRESS network.Perform trend analysis and compiling of monthly usage reports across various network nodes.

    Dealing with fault logging and escalations with various network providers.Effectively deal with internal and external client telephonic calls with written correspondence of a technical network / security nature.

    Provide technical / connectivity guidance to clients relating to IRESS applications.Provide network support and analysis across both weekdays, weekends and public holidays (rotational shifts).

    Occasional off site visits to data centres or remotely work with smarthand to support with installations and troubleshootingEnsure that all elements of the IRESS network infrastructure are documented and that relevant standards are understood and adhered to.

    To be successful in this role you willHave a tertiary qualification or equivalent such as CCNA / Juniper Equivalent certifications, with an understanding of networking technologies Ethernet, bridging, spanning tree, routing protocols (BGP and OSPF), TCP, UDP, FTP / SFTP firewall and WAN technologies.

    You will be an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills to communicate with technical and non-technical customers and will strive for a consistently high standard of customer experience.

    You will be able to work in a proactive collaborative manner with various technical teams within IRESS. You will also be able to work autonomously and take ownership of problems and coordinate to resolution (end-to-end).

    Your previous experience will include supporting large scale LAN / WAN environments and diagnosing IP based network issues.
