Minimum requirements for the role :
Minimum National Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain is essential.
Experience in either production or materials planning control is essential.
Minimum 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing industry.
Must have a good understanding of production planning aspects in a Business-2-Business organisation.
Strong experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP, is essential.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent command of the English language.
Good leadership and team development qualities.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Quick decision-making capabilities, in order to manage various circumstances.
Must be Microsoft Office proficient.
Must have knowledge in ISO and Food Safety Standards.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication and administration skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Creating bills of materials and quantities.
Identifying document requirements for the production and material planning control function.
Receiving materials, batch compounding and issuing to the plant.
Assisting with stock counts and stock variance control.
Controlling returnable products.
Generating production plans.
Scheduling production lines to optimise production and avoid overtime during peak periods.
Overseeing daily interaction with sales and marketing regarding service levels.
Ensuring inventory targets are maintained according to days cover.
Achieving a 98% service level to customers.
Managing subcontracting and buy-outs of finished goods.
Participating in monthly forecasting and standard operating procedures meetings.
Salary package is negotiable based on experience gained.
