Procurement Specialist Woodmead Salary R396 756pa 12 Month Fixed term contract ROLE SUMMARY To implement the strategic sourcing of goods and services from suppliers and delivery according to the specifications and agreed terms and conditions.

To seek maximum value for the company through time and cost-effective means of securing assets and resources. KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Acquisition Management Implement the sourcing strategy Implement procedures and processes to evaluate and select suppliers Implement the Supply Chain Management strategy Implement OEM strategy and provide support to Sales Team on Pre-Sales and Post Sales opportunities by developing a Price book and pricing for different Bill and Materials Implement the local or alternate sourcing activities Ensure the prevention of fraud, collusion, or corruption in procurement practices Analyse and interpret technical specification and develop evaluation metrics Process all requests in according to the Procurement Plan Issue all RFP, RFI and RFT based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and ensure compliance to SCM policy, process, procedures, regulations, and legislations Evaluate bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors Generate EXCOPS and Tender Committee reports Compile, interpret and assume responsibility of contractual agreements, negotiated SLA’s, commercial terms through interpretation, signature, and acceptance of agreements Compare and contrast supplier sales agreement to purchase agreement and control the purchase price structure Conduct negotiations contractual terms and conditions and commercial terms on hardware and software, infrastructure, remote hands / installs, facilities, IT, or marketing materials, etc.

Execute end to end RFQ / RFP / sourcing process with local and international vendors. Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal department, and customers Comply and adhere to all related legislations governing Supply Chain Assist in the nomination and ensure the appointment of Committee members Assist in nominations of the Committee members Manage of committee meetings and ensure compliance thereof Organise and chair the BEC meeting Provide guidance and advice to the BSC and BEC Advise the Committee on the development of evaluation criteria Provide input in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Assist in the management of risk and audit register Negotiations Negotiate pricing and discount structure with Field Services / Installation vendors and manage vendor selection for procurement, provide reporting on costs of installations, provide bill validation support to finance, etc.

Negotiating payment and warrantees’ terms best suitable for the company to ensure the company procures maintenance on the correct list of devices and not losing any money Ensure maximum savings in new order placements or renewals Conduct fact-based supplier negotiations based on suppliers and industry analysis and benchmarks, and cost structure analysis Develop, sign, and implement contracts, prepare and support projects in supplier on-boarding Negotiate contractual and / or commercial anomalies with tenderers and liaise with users regarding technical deviations from specifications Ensure the generation and issue of accurate contracts Recommend suppliers based on the most optimal total cost and provide supplier feedback Develop and maintain relationships with the various suppliers Award suppliers’ contracts in accordance with sounds procurement practices, policies including BBBEE Process supplier payment timeous Create suppliers’ awareness to business objectives Attend meetings internal and external to develop relationship with suppliers and address any queries Maintain close liaison with suppliers on availabilities / capacities, readiness, and material supply Purchasing Management Adhere to purchasing ethics by both internal and external customers through workshops Conduct the purchasing and quotation process in compliance to SCM policy and legislation Liaise with end-users and other stakeholders Provide input in the production of purchasing reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Ensure supplier comply with relevant regulatory requirements Strive to achieve maxim cost reduction through firm negotiation and cost reduction techniques Implement the economies of scale to reduce costs Optimize the purchasing within budget by strategic sourcing decisions Implement plans for cost reduction measures Ensure timely payments to suppliers BBBEE and Supplier and enterprise development implementation Implement BBBEE policy Assist in gathering BEE procurement spend Assist in ensuring timeous validity of the company’s BEE certificate Develop BEE report Implement supplier and enterprise development strategy Competency Requirements : Technical knowledge of Telecommunication equipment is essential Willing to work after hours Interpretation and analysis of technical specifications Knowledge of legislations Procurement systems, processes, and procedures EDUCATION : 3 years commercial B.

degree tertiary qualifications A commercial and or CIPS (Charted Institution of Procurement & Supply) qualification would be an added advantage WORK EXPERIENCE : 5 years’ experience in the supply chain management environment, 3 of which should be at specialist level Specialist knowledge of procurement processes and procedures Experience in Supplier Management Working experience in the government space, be it SOC or any government institution Closing date 4 January 2022 Please note that should we not contact you within two weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
