Duties :

  • Establish, guide, direct and oversee the maintenance function aligned with overall strategy and objectives.
  • Applies engineering techniques in order to improve plant availability, operating performance and produce cost reductions and higher levels of efficiency.
  • Organize the workforce and ensure proper safety and operational competency to achieve day to day desired results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating and quality procedures, and ensure that they are followed.
  • Monitor and mitigate plant related safety risks concerning machinery according to legislation.
  • Review maintenance budget to outline and control expenditures within approved limits.
  • Ensure that all safety, health and environmental precautions and procedures are upheld at all times.
  • Requirements :

    BEng / BSc / BTech degree (Electrical & Instrumentation / Electronics)

    MDP / MAP advantageous and preferred

    5+ years working experience in a chemical plant facility

    5+ years of direct supervisory experience

    Sound knowledge of OSH Act

    Sound knowledge of SANS / ISO

    Good PLC Programming experience (Siemens / Omron)

    Good DCS Programming experience (Foxboro)

    Sound knowledge of reverse polish notion programming

    Sound knowledge of ladder logic (PLC / DCS)

    Good understanding HLBL programming (Sequence logic)

    Configuration of AC / DC Drives systems

    Experience with project management & Contractor Management

    Sound knowledge of SAP

    Good understanding of safety standards in process control

    Ability to perform control loop performance assessments

    Excellent understanding of instrumentation and electrical principles

    Good Knowledge on Electrical Protection Systems

    Good understanding of failure analysis techniques
