This is a senior, high profile role within the Institutional Business team of a leading Asset Manager (based in CPT), with the main focus on managing client database information as well as related information which is completed in tenders / questionnaires, which is key to the business strategy of growing their international brand.

The successful incumbent will be required to develop a good working relationship with senior members across the business in order to fulfill their role.

A secondary task will be assisting other business development analysts with the administrative process related to the business development of Institutional Client servicing of their South African and International clients.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Commerce or related qualification B Comm, B Bus Sci, CA (Numerical subjects)
  • Duties & Responsibilities

    1) Taking responsibility for and managing the client database information which appears

    on various public databases in relation to company product offering

    a. Ensure the accurate completion of client and product details on all

    databases

    b. Maintaining all information on the databases so that the databases are

    always up to date with the latest client and product details

    c. Liaise with database service providers when necessary to clarify all queries

    or other issues related to the particular databases

    d. Co-ordinate regular database audits and utilize other team members

    accordingly in this process responsible for managing the outputs of team

    members in this regard

    e. Responsible for the accurate resolution of all International and other

    queries around database submissions

    2. Prepare tender documents, questionnaires and preparation of pitches and

    marketing documentation both local and international. Ensure that :

    a. A database containing all historical responses to tender documents /

    questionnaires / surveys is maintained and updated regularly

    b. Ensure integrity of tenders / questionnaires / surveys and data submissions and,

    in particular, ensure that the tender / questionnaire / surveys database referred

    to in the previous bullet point and the client public databases correlate and

    do not contradict each other

    3) Manage and maintain record statistics including clients lost and gained, current

    clients, AUM etc.

    4) Coordinate and liaise with in-house legal and compliance team, quants and other teams as may be required to obtain all information necessary to complete various tasks

    5) Audit submission of survey data to ensure all relevant track records are submitted to broadest possible survey grouping

    6) Assist with on-going checking of survey composites
