Salary :

R 360 048.00 per annum

Allowance :

A living out allowance of R1 100.00 will be contributed towards this allowance

Provident Fund :

The employee contribution to the Provident Fund is 7.5% of the gross salary and the company will contribute a share of 7.5% to the fund

Experience

The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years experience in terms of performing the functions and responsibilities of a Draughtsperson

Formal qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)

Chamber of Mines Draughting Certificate

Must possess excellent computer skills and work with amongst other, AutoCad, Datamine and other geological modelling software within the mining industry, including MS Office

Thorough knowledge of Deswik, CADs Mine / AutoCAD / Datamine draughting / design and scheduling certificate

Valid drivers licence code 08

Valid medical certificate certifying the incumbents fitness status to work on surface and or underground

Inherent requirements and skills applicable to this vacancy

Attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent record keeping of incident and or accident information, collection, analysis and processing of information

Planning and Organising including the ability to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines

Analytical skills

Strong focus on detail and compliance with the various legislation and CoPs

Objectiveness and factual reasoning

No criminal record

Willingness to undergo polygraph testing

Responsibilities

Collates and transposes information from various sources and create specialised geological plans such as sections, reef thickness plans and value contour plans showing concentration of reef used by Geologists to assist mining in development.

Draws from confidential and sensitive information, plans of strategic ore reserves or for special returns.

Constructing of mine design and updating plans and layouts in accordance with legal and mine requirements

Draws all annual, quarterly, monthly and ad hoc plans for illustrations

Creates and maintains an efficient geological filing system and indexing of documents

Legislative Requirements

Keeps up do date with new developments in the field of geological drawing techniques in order to maintain high standard of efficiency in methods and design and to introduce improvements as required.

Preference will be given to candidates from the designated groups, with specific reference to persons who have a disability.
