Scope of Role :

  • This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment;
  • The successful incumbent will come from a background in the infrastructure, systems, integration space, with a track record and reputation of running similar sized businesses with experience in transforming the change management and consolidation of separate businesses, into one business entity;
  • The Business Executive will be responsible for forming collaboration and innovation to set the strategy and initiatives of business process, infrastructure technology and organisational transformation to drive organisational value optimisation, efficiency, and effectiveness;
  • Leading the adoption of a successful business consolidation, to ensure significant value is achieved to facilitate high demand to adopt changes quickly;
  • Steering transformation initiatives which will generate a significant impact in successfully building credible partnerships across business functions, stakeholders, and infrastructure technology;
  • The scope of business transformation is broad, cross functional and throughout all levels of each organisation, to define priority opportunities with a high level of organisational impact within manageable levels of investment that generates an optimal return on investment;
  • Key Performance Areas :

  • Review and development of infrastructure technology value proposition relevant to market needs and requirements;
  • Organise the business effectively and efficiently to deliver solutions to market;
  • Lead and ensure the internal processes of sales, technical and operations and maintenance and service and appropriately structured and aligned to deliver full turnkey solutions;
  • Crafting of the infrastructure technology roadmap capitalising on current product / solution sets and positioning the business to take advantage of future opportunities;
  • Develop and manage relationships with various business partners including Technology providers, OEMS, distributors, other third-party organisations instrumental to delivery of solutions such as sub-contractors and technology integrators and specialists;
  • In depth knowledge of project related work and how to ensure that turnkey projects are carried out efficiently and effectively specifically;
  • Thorough understanding of the project contracting and specifically the risks associated with project related work;
  • Expanding the business into existing and new markets (including Sub-Saharan Africa);
  • The Business Executive will be required to quickly understand the depth and breadth of internal organisational functions and processes, but also scan external ecosystems to identify current technology, and resources that are viable partners to compliment.
  • Innovate and add value to strategic initiatives;
  • Drive programme and project management, assembling cross functional resourcing, engaging with external vendors as necessary, managing communications and change management plans, building complex project plans and executing with low cost, efficiency, and high adoption with success;
  • Oversee, direct, and organise project work within the context of cross functional project teams supporting initiatives from finance, sales, operations, supply chain, administration, and IT teams;
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and innovation that values learning and a commitment to quality and timeous delivery;
  • Ensure team members receive guidance, training, and development, ensuring sufficient capability and capacity to realise change;
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach;
  • Assign and maintain accountabilities, establish clear and mutually agreed expectations, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results;
  • Leadership Capability and Requirements :

  • Strong, positive track record of innovation and collaboration with transforming complementary businesses into one organisational structure;
  • Able to work with diverse teams, engaging their input and commitment to success through operational efficiency;
  • High level of organisation, managing risk and decision-making skills working in a fast paced and competitive work environment, crafting a compelling positioning, expanding into new markets;
  • Access to new markets and expansion into existing for bigger business and increased revenue;
  • A systematic approach in maintaining accountability, plans and demonstrations of success;
  • History of developing and mentoring teams and communicating vision into directors and executive leadership;
  • Excellent communication skills; written, oral and listening;
  • Proven ability to successfully manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Creative, innovative, and agile with the ability to think outside the box;
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Technical Bachelors Degree in : Infrastructure Management / IT Management / Engineering Field;
  • Relevant Undergraduate Degree essential;
  • Masters Degree in Infrastructure Management / General, will be highly advantageous;
  • 10 15 years industry related experience, managing IT infrastructure and technical services within large and small organisations;
  • Understanding the fundamentals and not limited to infrastructure management, management science, IT service management, systems integration;
  • Business consolidation / merger experience in culminating two or more businesses to become one;
  • Driving operational efficiency, eliminating competition and access to new markets;
  • High level of financial and business acumen experience;
  • Proven record of networking at a strategic level;
  • Well versed in overall industry domains with depth of knowledge and seasoned experience.
