This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of one of SA’s most exciting and progressive retail businesses and play a meaningful role as the Microsoft Team Lead owning the responsibility for leading the Microsoft & Google team by communicating and managing goals, deadlines and priorities.

Manage critical incidents and drive the collaboration necessary for problem resolution, root cause analysis and improvements. Job Objectives

  • Assist the Team Manager with planning, roadmaps, budget and procurement.
  • Managing team workload and issues optimising team performance via conflict resolution, assessments, training, motivation, tools and innovation.
  • Drive problem resolution and root cause analysis of incidents
  • Log changes in the change control system, obtain approval and drive deployment
  • Assist the Team Manager with creating and tracking roadmaps for the team
  • Assist the Team Manager in the procurement of hardware, software, training and other expenses in the team Reporting
  • Log and update important work and information in the Team Managers weekly report Managing team performance and development
  • Identify and book the training and certification the team requires to perform their duties
  • Conduct appraisals with team members twice a year to assess performance, highlight improvement areas and develop improvement plans where necessary
  • Essential Qualifications Required : Grade 12 with relevant IT certification : MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) / Infrastructure Engineer Desirable : MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) / Private Cloud Industry Certification / Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions Your experience must include :

  • 5+ years Operations experience in a high-availability environment
  • 2+ years’ Experience leading a Production Engineering team
  • 2+ years Technical project experience in an IT infrastructure environment
  • 5+ years Extensive experience with Microsoft Window Server
  • 5+ years Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory Domain and Certificate Services
  • 5+ years Proven history of incident response, diagnostic activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plans, and advanced troubleshooting Desirable
  • 3+ years’ Experience with Microsoft Private and Public Cloud
  • 2+ years’ Experience working with other virtualisation technologies such as VMware
  • 3+ years’ Experience in documenting environment and processes
  • Knowledge and Skills must include :

  • 5+ years In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and related services architecture design and implementation
  • 5+ years Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS protocols, firewall, load-balancing technologies and firewalls
  • 5+ years Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS protocols, firewall, load-balancing technologies and firewalls
  • 3+ years Virtual environments knowledge including HyperV and VMWARE Excellent communication skills, active listener, ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences with good balance of IQ and EQ
